“Jewelry is the best way to express oneself…”

Aylin Kurpınar completed her art education at Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University Painting Department in 1992. Her passion for painting and ceramics led her to jewelry design. She began her career as a designer at a prestigious Turkish firm specializing in jewelry and object design. In her designs, she employed the “lost-wax technique” used in Mesopotamia around 3000 BCE. She learned the intricacies of the craft and quickly mastered the process of transforming imagination from two dimensions into three, creating numerous unique jewelry and object collections. After working there for over five years, she continued her experiences in the heart of the jewelry market, the Grand Bazaar. She shared her expertise by teaching jewelry design for many years.

The year 2000 marked a turning point in the artist’s design journey. Inspired by the Griffon from Greek mythology, which symbolizes courage, strength, and foresight, she founded her own brand, Griffart.

Aylin Kurpınar’s design journey, which began in the 1990s and continues to this day, is fueled by the same passion and excitement as on the first day. In addition to enriching her product portfolio with annual collections, she also creates bespoke designs for individuals and institutions. With her unique creations made from organic materials like brass, silver, and gold, crafted entirely by hand, she has reached countless women both domestically and internationally. Drawing inspiration from nature and mythology, she continues to create timeless jewelry, bridging the past and present, and pushing the boundaries of imagination.
